How Can I Tell If My Pearl Necklace Is REAL?

I got a pearl necklace for Christmas, but I dont know if it’s real.
It came in this cute red box, the store was having an anniversary, but thats all I can tell.

Oh yeah, and the clasp is gold and it has a cute design on it.

^_^

Any physical features that might let me know that the necklace is real pearls?

  1. just take it to a jeweler

  2. Don’t you know real from fake? It doesn’t look cheap…idk…I can just tell. I have to see it.

  3. Depends on where it’s bought, of course, but this should help:

  4. Take it to a jeweler that sells pearls and ask them if it’s real.

  5. . When rubbing two pearls together, you would feel a friction between two pearls. If you were to rub 2 plastic together there wouldn’t be any friction between them.
    2. If you noticed when you rub the pearls together a small spec of the pearls would have come off and it would end up having scratches
But if you rub over the scratch area of the pearl. The scratch marks would be gone, and the pearls would looked as if nothing happened to it

  6. you can usually tell when the pearls are knotted in between each pearl instead of just thrown onto one string
