Unfortunatley a lot of hotels are tiny like that in NYC, ur gonna pay big bucks for a bigger room. Ive paid $600 in a nice hotel in NYC but it was super nice, no bedbugs lol! you do have to be careful of bedbugs in NYC especially.

You should try the Priceline negotiator bid your own price, I’ve done it twice and got really good deals.
why don’t you try getting a hotel room across the river in NJ? I live in the area and on a good day it takes 15 minutes for me to get from my home to times square! I always see busloads of kids from different states staying at the hotels because its a better deal.
Weehawken, hoboken, and edgewater are beautiful.. research.. they have a ferry that you can take across the way. Of course its not as convenient as getting one in NYC but its cheaper and the rooms are bigger
