How Do I Keep My Metal Necklace From Rusting?

I bought a plain metal necklace for about $10. All of my other metal necklaces have rusted in the past. How do you prevent that?

    ahm.,dont let it touch with water.,
    and if you do something that makes you sweat
    wear it off.,.coz it also rust ur jewelry

    metal has to rust someday…but to prevent that from happening a longer time…first you should keep it in a closed thing when you’re not wearing it of course..put it in a box…and don’t put it in water or in the bathroom…or any were that is moisty..coz water rusts metals
